The 2008 Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Les Chetillons offers notable power and intensity, but it also comes across as a bit yeasty and more advanced than most wines in this vintage, which is most likely attributable to fermentation and aging in barrel. Slightly oxidative overtones suggest the 2008 will offer its best drinking over the next few years. My impression is that with less oak influence this could be a truly stellar Champagne. The terroir is certainly first class.
