Good deep red. Pungent, somewhat sauvage aromas of black raspberry, mocha, minerals, Asian spices, cola and game. Supple and silky on entry, then quite clenched in the middle palate, with a distinctly animal quality quite apparent today. Finishes distinctly firm-edged, with dusty tannins. With extended time in the recorked bottle, this showed growing sweetness without losing its wild character.
