Saturated, deep ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, mocha, smoked meat and licorice. Supple, concentrated and fresh, with an enticing juicy quality to the dark fruit and violet flavors. Quite closed in the middle palate but long and precise on the aftertaste, with reasonably pliant tannins. A very strong village wine for aging.
