Situated in the lieu-dit parcel of Puligny, Les Enseigneres is located just 5 meters below the prestigious Bienvenue-Batard-Montrachet grand cru. The oldest vines were planted in 1930, and the soil composition comprises clay and limestone. The winemaking approach is traditional, involving time spent on the lees and aging in barrels for 15-22 months. The 05’ vintage was exceptional, yielding uniquely pure and energetic wines.

Subdued aromas of ripe peach and orange; I would have picked this as Meursault from the nose. Powerful, bright and sharply delineated but quite shocked by the bottling today and a bit awkward as a result. Today this very young wine lacks the sweetness of Coche's Meursault bottlings. Perhaps best on the long, well-defined aftertaste.
