The spice and anise-scented 2000 Montrachet is a lush, medium-bodied wine. Soft layers of creamed minerals and spices can be found in its broad, soft character. It is expansive and reveals loads of underlying minerals in its persistent finish.

(just fined) Deeply pitched aromas of iodine, clove and sweet oak. Thick, large-scaled and full; a voluminous, mouthfilling wine with great solidity but no excess weight. Completely different in style from the Lafon Meursaults. Still rather tightly wound and restrained, but hints at its obvious power. Very long finish throws off vibrant citrus notes.
