Crafted from select plots in Avize, the 1999 vintage benefited from warmer temperatures, resulting in a powerful and ripe profile. This Champagne boasts substantial weight and length, with oxidative layers and savory characteristics. It is highly vinous in character, with the effervescence appearing almost secondary.

Utilizing this method allows us to offer some amazing wines and gives you the opportunity to secure them earlier. Upon arrival at TWC you will receive a notification and we will ship the wines to you.

The 1999 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is an explosive, full-bodied wine bursting with fruit. This is a massive, towering Champagne where you can really feel the sheer density and richness of the fruit. The wine possesses exceptional length and compelling intensity in its layers of fruit. Mint, flowers and cloves are some of the nuances that linger on the eternal finish. As delicious as the wine is, the aromas and flavors are decidedly on the oxidative style and may not appeal to all palates. I also am inclined to think the 1999 won't be one of the longer-lived vintages of this wine. Disgorged February 3, 2009
