Coche's Les Chevaliers is incredibly small, covering just 0.12 hectares and featuring vines dating back to 1958. Despite its "village" level designation, this lieu-dit consistently exceeds expectations. Cultivated in extremely stony soils, this wine showcases abundant minerality and a captivating tension.

The Wine Advocate

Wine Advocate

88-90

Fresh minerals and ripe pears are found in the nose of the 1999 Meursault Les Chevalieres. This medium-bodied, satin-textured wine coats the palate with minerals, smoke, toast, anise, and tangy spiced apples. It is concentrated, lush, and extremely flavorful. Drink it over the next 7 years.

Explosive aromas of white plum, peach and lemon. Very pure and solidly structured, with sappy acidity giving the rich fruit lovely delineation and grip. Impressively long. This was hard to taste a year ago from barrel but is splendid today.
