Classic Vosne nose of intense spiciness and black fruits that are a good deal less ripe than either the 1999 or the 2000 followed by powerful, intense, beautifully focused and elegant flavors that offer good finishing richness and length. The tannins are slightly rustic but the fruit is still extremely fresh and still very tight. This is extremely promising and I very much like the overall balance.
