Vinous

Vinous

89

Full dark ruby-red. Less obviously ripe nose features black cherry and beefsteak tomato. Possesses less weight and flesh on the palate, and thus gives an impression of higher acidity than the '98. Juicy, smoky and vinous. Finishes with sneaky length; the tannins dust the front of the tongue. Sisseck did a light extraction in '97 to avoid green tannins.
