Deeper aromas of grilled nuts and citrus skin. Fat and thick, but a bit heavy next to the Combettes, and perhaps less intensely flavored. Still shows a somewhat hard malic edge. Very good length, but not like the Combettes. Morey notes that this cuvee is always more easily shocked by handling, whether it's racking, moving of barrels, or bottling.
