Vinous

(the highest in alcohol of all these wines, at 14.6%; also the highest in dry extract; this wine was accepted as a VT but was not bottled with this designation): Good full yellow. Very ripe aromas of stone fruits, exotic spices and smoky minerality. Hugely rich, round and seamless, with a honeyed quality to the rich citrus, stone fruit and spice flavors. Wonderfully expansive in the mouth, with palate-staining fruit given shape by edgy acidity. Not the most penetrating and minerally of this group, but has the palate presence of a major white Burgundy.
