The 1988 Dom Pérignon Rosé P3, tasted from magnum, offers a captivating mix of textural richness built over long aging on the lees and the energy that is such a signature of this iconic vintage in Champagne. That's a pretty appealing combination in my book. Tense, powerful and quite savory, the 1988 is sublime. Dried herbs, sweet dried cherry, tobacco and crushed autumn leaves are some of the many notes that build over time. This is a superb showing.
