The fruit selection for the Rosso is as discerning as that for their Brunello di Montalcino, entirely Sangiovese Grosso and each cluster inspected for perfect quality. After fermenting naturally, grapes are aged in large cask for about 28 months prior to bottling. The resulting wine is deep, wildly complex and textured, the volcanic soils adding a soft, refreshing mineral touch to the finish.
