"The Grand Cras is lower in tone. Also very aromatic, but a bit darker with a powerful mineral note and lifted acidity. The texture is more structured with firmer tannins and really persistent minerality. This is a serious wine." said Noah Dranow, Director of Sales & Logistics

Domaine Mee Godard

Mee first attended school at Oregon State studying wine and finishing her Masters studying plant physiology, before moving to France and going to Enology school in Montpellier. She then went to work for various Domaines including Comtes Lafon before settling in Morgon in 2013. She bought some incredibly beautiful parcels in Corcelette, Cote du Puy, as well as Moulin-á-Vent, the "Romanee-Conti of Beaujolais." Mee is doing it all solo, from all the work in the vineyards to putting the wine in bottle.

Mee is working her vineyards in a biodynamic and organic approach. She typically uses a significant portion of whole cluster and has varying fermentation and aging vessels. All of these decisions are made based on each years; harvest and vinifying individual parcels. She found a middle ground in her style that is neither "making Beaujolais" nor " making Burgundy". Her wines are lively and energetic, bold with depth and layers that make them beautiful for near term drinking or able to lay in the cellar and gracefully develop, a true showcase of the unique terroir of Beaujolais.
