Deep magenta. Lively black raspberry, cherry liqueur and floral scents are sharpened by building spice and mineral flourishes. Sweet, seamless and focused on the palate, offering juicy red and blue fruit preserve and floral pastille flavors and a hint of cracked pepper. The smooth, sharply delineated finish features rounded tannins, a resonating dark berry note and shows strong, subtly smoky persistence. This bottling is made from younger vines and almost all of the fruit is de-stemmed, allowing for earlier drinking. It was originally intended to be sold exclusively to restaurants but private clients' demands became too frenzied for the Jamets to ignore.
