Palish red. Wild, captivating nose combines redcurrant, mocha, dark chocolate, tobacco and botanical herbs. Dense, sappy and sweet, with excellent depth and strong soil tones to the redcurrant and chocolate flavors. Much more shapely than the village Vosne, and with more stuffing to support its tannins. This has the energy to reward cellaring. Rouget makes this wine from 80-year-old vines in the lieu-dit Les Treux and 65-year-old vines in Les Cruots.
